Vlog｜A Surprised by Guangdong Delegation Open Day 

On March 7^th, Guangdong delegation to the second session of the 14^th National People's Congress (NPC) held an open-door meeting and media open day, attracting 225 journalists from 102 media outlets to cover the event. 

The event only lasted half a day. However,it surprisedthe media a lot, making reporters exclaim: this is Guangdong!

Soon afterthestart of the meeting, the Guangdong delegation invited journalists to walk into the deputies' deliberation area to take close-up videos and pictures. Upon hearing the invitation, deputies and journalists smiled unanimously. Then, numbers of journalists walked into the deputies' seats in an orderly manner and started filming.

This small invitation gave theoverseasjournalists a refreshing surprise.

Gao Jin, president of Euro Chinese Daily, and Raymond Liu, vice president of the Chinese Radio Vancouver, coincidentally recorded this moment in their WeChat Moments.

Gao Jin said: "I think I was the first of foreign media to rushed in as soon as I heard this."

Raymond Liu said,"I have been to open day meetings of other provinces, but this is the first time that I have seen journalists rushing into the meetings. This shows Guangdong's positive and open attitude to the outside world."

Huang Guanjie, a reporter from Nouvelles d'Europe, said, "In the past, I heard of Guangdong's openness; today, I witnessed it with my own eyes."

The "surprises" by the Guangdong delegationimpressed the foreign media a lot, demonstrating the full backbone of Guangdong in leading the development of new quality productive forces.

3月7日上午，广东代表团举行开放团组会议及媒体开放日，吸引了中外102家媒体的225名记者前往采访报道。短短半天的开放日，频发的“小惊喜”，让外媒记者们感叹：真很广东！

究竟发生了什么？跟着记者的一线记录感受“惊喜”。

原来，会议开始后不久，广东代表团就主动发出邀请，让摄影、摄像记者到代表审议区近距离拍摄代表。听到邀请后，大家都笑了，由衷的掌声在场内响起。接着，记者们便带着“长枪短炮”有序走入会议内场，开始拍摄。

一个小小的邀请，给外媒朋友们带来的是耳目一新的惊喜。罗马尼亚《欧洲侨报》社长高进和加拿大媒体温哥华中文电台副台长刘俊良都使用微信，他们不约而同第一时间发了朋友圈记录这一时刻。

高进告诉记者：“我一听到这话就冲进内场了，应该是外媒里的第一个。”

刘俊良感叹：“我参加过其他省份的开放日，还是第一次见到这么多记者一齐涌入会议内场，很惊喜。这展现出广东对外界积极开放的态度。”

欧洲时报记者黄冠杰说：“广东的开放，在以前，我只是闻名；今天，我在现场亲眼见证了广东开放的意识和底气。”

热烈、积极、开放的氛围背后，是广东在引领发展新质生产力上十足的底气。
