Ronggui, Foshan: The windmill of praying for blessings is turning and everyone is buzzing for charity

Art and Culture | On 5 March, the 2024 Ronggui Kwun Yam Treasury Opening folk activity was held at the Kwun Yum Temple, Bailian Cave Park, #Shunde, #Foshan. Many people held up the windmill in the temple, praying for peace and good luck in the new year and fortune and prosperity. The #folk activity has nearly a thousand years of #history. According to legend, on the 26th of the first month of the lunar calendar, the temple will open a treasury to help the people. Men and women all over the world will come to the temple and hold up the #windmill, wind chimes, #lanterns, and special "Kwun Yam incense" to pray to Kwun Yum. #artandculture

3月5日，2024年容桂观音开库民俗活动在佛山市顺德区白莲公园观音堂举行。众多市民高举风车走进观音堂，祈求新的一年平安吉祥、财运亨通。“观音开库”民俗活动距今已有近千年历史，相传在农历正月廿六，观音庙里大开金库贷款助民，各路信女善男奔赴观音堂，举风车、风铃、花灯和特制“观音大香”，向观音祈祷。
