Linxi, Chaozhou: Praying for a good year through "Sugarcane Lane"

Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | On the evening of 25 February, Xikou Village, Linxi Town, Chaozhou, held a traditional #folk cultural activity titled "Sugarcane Lane". Villagers held "cane #lanterns" and waited for the #parade to pass through the "Cane Lane" to pray for the #prosperity of the people, implying that life is as sweet as eating sugarcane, the days are getting better and better like sugarcane, and the career is as prosperous as the lanterns. With the sound of #gongs and #drums, the #flags were clustered together, the #fireworks bloomed, the cane lanterns shined high, and the night #sky was illuminated. People enjoyed the fireworks under the lanterns, and a romantic atmosphere filled the whole village. #SplendidLingnan

2月25日（正月十六）晚，潮州市磷溪镇溪口村举办传统民俗文化活动“穿蔗巷”，现场锣鼓开道，标旗簇拥，村民撑着“蔗灯”等待巡游队伍从“蔗巷”穿过，以此祈祷人丁兴旺，寓意生活像吃甘蔗一样越吃越甜，日子如甘蔗一样节节高，事业似灯笼一样红红火火。锣乐齐鸣，标旗簇拥，烟花绽放，蔗灯高照，映亮了漆黑的夜空。人们在蔗灯下观赏烟花，浪漫的氛围弥漫整个村庄。
