Tens of Thousands of People Admiring Piaose in Guangdong: The Piaose Parade of Yuangang Village, Fanyu, Guangzhou Staged a Comeback

Art and Culture | #Children dressed in colorful and variegated clothes “floated” in the air when the Piaose #parade marched past the street……On February 16 (the seventh day of the #Chinese New Year), a unique Piaose parade was held in the Yuangang village of Nancun Town, Panyu District, #Guangzhou. Many tourists arrived in Yuangang village early in the morning. At 9:30 am, with the sound of gongs and drums, the Piaose parade officially started, staging a comeback after years. The Piaose parade team started from the town service center of Yuangang and traveled around the village according to the established route, lasting about four hours.

The parade displayed 24 versions of Piaose. Each version was made up of children,dressingup as #characters from historical #stories and #legends, carried by #villagers in the parade.#artandculture

服饰明亮绚丽、造型各异的“色仔”“色女”高高“悬”在空中、飘色队伍走街过巷……2月16日（大年初七），一场别开生面的员岗飘色巡游活动在广州市番禺区南村镇员岗村举行。不少街坊游客一早便来到员岗村等待，现场人头攒动。上午9点半，随着锣鼓声响起，阔别多年的员岗飘色巡游活动正式开始。此次飘色巡游队伍从员岗村党群服务中心出发，在村内按照既定的路线行进环游，历时约4小时。

现场，巡游队伍展示了《独占鳌头》《白猿偷灯》《牧羊龙女》《金龙伴塔》《月中丹桂》等24版飘色。每版飘色由儿童（俗称“色仔”“色女”）扮成历史故事、神话传说中的人物，由村民用色柜抬着出游。
