"The Reunion of Swords and Hairpins" performance in Foshan ancient towns concludes

Art and Culture | Recently, the 2023 "The Reunion of Swords and Hairpins" performance concluded on a high note, and the audience at the scene coincidentally stood up and applauded for a long time. It is the first immersive modern dance drama in the ancient town of Foshan, inspired by the Cantonese opera "The Purple Hairpins". It transformed the century-old building Longtang Poetry Society into a panoramic stage, using modern dance, light and shadow, and music to realize the combination of virtuality and reality. #artandculture

光影交错变幻、音乐缱绻浪漫、观众意犹未尽……日前，2023年岭南寻迹之《剑合钗圆》圆满收官，现场观众不约而同起立鼓掌，欢呼声、掌声久久不息。该剧是佛山古镇首部沉浸式现代舞剧，以粤剧《紫钗记》为创作灵感，将百年老建筑龙塘诗社化作全景式大舞台，并打破舞台边界，运用现代舞蹈、光影、音乐实现情景虚实结合。
