Dongsheng Village in Qingyuan: Feel the breeze in the mountains

Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | In Dongsheng village, a clear stream winds through slowly across the valley, reflecting houses and fertile fields. This is the Tongguan River, one of the three tributaries of the Lianjiang. Poet Hanyu once sailed the river, listening to the chirping of birds in the waters and the mountains. He wrote: “Evening clouds carry grace; the sun ascends suddenly.” The river flows incessantly, nurturing the soil. For thousands of years, people have settled along its banks, cultivating distinctive local culture. Today, the stream still runs quietly, nursing newly growing grain. #SplendidLingnan

一条碧流在山间蜿蜒穿行，经过东升村时，水流缓缓，映照出层层屋舍、片片良田。这条碧流就是同冠河，是连江的三大支流之一。诗人韩愈曾泛舟同冠河上，在山水间听百鸟鸣叫，咏曰：“宿云尚含姿，朝日忽升晓。”同冠河水流淌不息，浇灌着土壤。千百年来人们沿水聚居，滋养出独特的当地文化。如今，河水依然在这片土地默默流淌，新的禾苗正在生长。
