Exploring Meijiang: A journey to an ancient city with Hakka culture

#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong In the northeast of Guangdong Province, there is a thousand-year-old city known as the “Capital of Hakka in the World”, Meizhou. It is located at the junction of the provinces of Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangxi with profound Hakka historical culture and folklore. Meijiang District is the political, economic, and cultural hub of Meizhou City, with the Meijiang River passing through the city with rippling blue waves. Six bridges, including Meijiang Bridge and Jiaying Bridge, run through the north and south, with beautiful scenery on both sides of the river. The Meijiang River basin, which stretches for about 300 kilometers, records the Meizhou culture and inherits the Hakka culture that has lasted for thousands of years.
