The 2023 Greater Bay Area Taijiquan and Nanquan Competition ended in Zengcheng

Taijiquan, Nanquan, and other customary martial arts are traditional Chinese cultural treasures. They are also sports that have rich connotations and diverse forms with independent systems and multiple social functions. After two days of fierce competition from October 21st to 22nd, the 2023 Greater Bay Area Taijiquan and Nanquan competition came to an end in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou. This year’s competition was divided into three groups according to age, in which the youngest was only 5 years old and the oldest was 15. On the competition field, all sorts of traditional Chinese martial arts such as taijiquan (tai chi), taijijian (tai chi straight sword), nanquan (southern fist), and nandao (southern broadsword) were staged in turn. The athletes were full of energy to demonstrate their real skills, acting with vigor and power. #artandculture

太极拳、南拳等传统武术是中华民族传统文化瑰宝，也是一项内涵丰富、形式多样、具有独立体系和多种社会功能的运动项目。10月21日至22日，经过两天激烈比拼，2023年粤港澳大湾区太极拳、南拳比赛在广州市增城区圆满落下帷幕。本届比赛按年龄分为三个组别，其中年龄最小的只有5岁，最大的为15岁。比赛场上，太极拳、太极剑、南拳、南刀、南棍、南派长器械、南派短器械等轮番上演，运动员们精神抖擞，铆足了劲使出真功夫，举止干净利落，一招一式虎虎生威。
