Conghua, Guangzhou: Old market in the Countryside takes on a new look

#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong On October 21, located in Aotou Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou, Longtanjiuxu Fengqing Street started its trial operation. Mr Xu, from Longtan Village, told reporters excitedly that he was so gratified to have witnessed that Longtanjiuxu transformed from a dilapidated site to a new market. Longtan Fengqing Street not only showcases a collection of various specialties, food, snacks, and fashion barbecues from Aotou Town and Longtan village but also opens bamboo weaving workshops, Hanfu costume experience shops, and so forth. This is how the street cleverly integrated the construction of ten thousand acres of fertile land, the transformation of the old village landscape, and the inheritance of non-heritage culture.

10月21日，位于广州从化区鳌头镇的“龙潭旧墟风情街”正式启动试营业。龙潭村村民许先生兴奋地告诉记者，自己亲眼见证了龙潭旧墟从破旧的容颜到焕然一新，感到十分欣慰。龙潭旧墟风情街不仅集合了鳌头镇及龙潭村的各种特产、美食、风味小吃、时尚烧烤吧等，还开设了竹编工艺非遗工坊、汉服体验店等，让万亩良田建设及旧村风貌改造和非遗文化传承巧妙融合。
