Travel with “fire dragons”, surrounded by sparkling lights

In Yayao Town, Heshan County, Jiangmen City, in late August of the lunar calendar, local villages, such as Chenshan and Huangdong, have the custom of performing fire dragon dances. The “fire dragon” consists of millions of incense sticks, and holds the prayers of thousands of people for good weather, happiness, and well-being. When the night comes, under the shining brightness of stars and the moon, a long “fire dragon” marches through the village crowded by people. Wherever it passes, you can hear the roar of gongs and drums, and the sound of firecrackers and enjoy a colorful sky overflowing with brilliant lights. #artandculture

在江门鹤山雅瑶镇，农历八月下旬，陈山村、黄洞村等许多村子都有舞“火龙”的习俗。“火龙”由星星点点的千万支香火组成，寄托着万万千千人的风调雨顺、幸福安康的祈盼。夜幕拉起，星月交辉，随着鱼灯摆动，长长的“火龙”在人群的簇拥下在村社间穿行，所经之处，锣鼓喧天、爆竹声声，不歇断的烟花点亮夜空，流光溢彩。
