Qiaopi on display at the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum

Qiaopi, a combination of letters and remittance certificates, provides valuable insights into the history of overseas Chinese in Guangdong and Fujian provinces during the 19thand 20thcenturies. The year 2023 marks the 10thanniversary of the inclusion of Qiaopi inthe Memory of World Register. On this occasion, the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum launched a special exhibition on Qiaopi, which will run until September 13. Divided into three parts,the show provides an in-depth interpretation of the contents of over 100 Qiaopi letters by combining physical artifacts with images. This event helps to unveil the spiritual and cultural value of Qiaopi, vividly showcasing the arduous entrepreneurial history and patriotism of overseas Chinese to the public.#artandculture

今年是“侨批档案”入选“世界记忆名录”10周年。近日，《鸿雁传家书 浓浓家国情——广府侨批专题展》在广州华侨博物馆正式开展，将展至9月13日。此次展览分为“侨批沿革”“家国情深”“侨批趣谈”三个部分，通过100余封侨批，以实物与图片相结合的方式，深入解读侨批内容，揭示其蕴含的精神文化价值，为广大观众生动展现华侨华人艰难的创业史和浓厚的家国情怀。
