Anlong County in southwest China's Guizhou Province has launched a cultural tourism season program featuring diverse ethnic cultures and the natural beauty of blooming lotus flowers, and lantern shows, fascinating both local residents and tourists.

The program is scheduled from July 25 to October 8, with themed events to be held each week, according to the organizers.
As the county is located in the Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, which is home to people of 35 ethnic groups, the organizer held a special parade with ethic minorities dressed in their traditional costumes on Friday to kick off the tourism season.
A total of 27 groups participated in the parade held at the Zhaodi National Wetland Park, where fragrant lotus flowers flourish, incorporating distinctive folk performances that drew crowds of tourists to admire the charm of the integration of ethnic cultures.
"Every county has its own group participating in the parade, wearing their unique ethnic costumes, which left a deep impression on me. The groups from different townships also showcased their distinctive characteristics," said Yan Weifang, a local resident.
As night fell, a meticulously crafted lantern show, which showcased 11 large themed lantern displays and over 300 distinctive smaller lanterns, illuminated the wetland park. The interplay of light and shadow created a dreamlike atmosphere, making visitors feel as if they had stepped into a wonderland.
"I usually enjoy using drones for photography. During this event, I captured many amazing video clips," said Luo Guoqin, a tourist.
