A vibrant spring garden festival featuring flower viewing and cultural performances was held at a park in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, on Saturday, attracting numerous visitors eager to embrace the beauty of spring.
As visitors arrived at the park in the city's Jingzhou District, they were greeted by a stunning display of blooming cherry blossoms. Guests could join a parade through the park to admire the floral scenery and participate in interactive games.
The event featured cultural performances and blessing ceremonies, offering visitors an immersive experience of traditional Chinese culture set against a picturesque spring backdrop.
"I think the flower goddesses today are so beautiful! I really like them. I participated in many fun games, and they were very interesting," a young girl visiting the festival said.
Around 10,000 visitors flocked to the park on Saturday, a 20 percent increase from the same period last year.
"This year, Jingzhou District is focusing on the theme of a flower-filled ancient city. We are integrating flower-viewing resources across the district and hosting a series of activities, including traditional-style parades, cultural interactions, and intangible cultural heritage fairs, to create new cultural and tourism experiences featuring blooming flowers throughout the city," said Geng Cong, director of the Jingzhou District Bureau of Culture and Tourism.
