Peony flowers in Luoyang City of central China's Henan Province is ushering in blossoming season, attracting flowing streams of visitors from all over the country to enjoy this colorful spectacle.

Luoyang was the capital city of 13 dynasties in ancient China. It is known as "the city of peonies", boasting the best peonies in the country. The magnificent flower was a favorite of many Chinese for its luxuriant blossom, which came to symbolize prosperity and wealth.
Thanks to the recent good weather, the peony flowers are in full bloom in peony gardens in Luoyang City. A good variety of peonies produced flowers of pink, purple, and red, attracting visitors to take photos.
""I always take my family to see peony flowers every March and April. There are growing varieties of peonies, and they are very beautiful," said Ning Diao, a visitor.
"We came from Taiyuan City of (neighboring) Shanxi Province just for these peony flowers in Luoyang. Now the blossoms are in their peak with large clusters of flowers everywhere, which makes our experience here excellent," said Wang Qiujue, a visitor from north China.
