The biannual Shanghai Urban Space Art Season 2023 (SUSAS) opened on Sunday, highlighting bespoke ecological development concepts.

A total of 20 exhibition areas will, under the theme of "METro-BIOSIS", highlight Shanghai's ecological development concepts and technological methods, presenting an eco-city where "humans and nature harmoniously coexist."

The West Bund Dome Art Center where the opening ceremony took place was formerly the largest cement factory in Asia.

SUSAS 2023 is set to run through Nov 20. The center will be accessible to the public from Monday.
