Chinese companies have brought an array of smart home devices that are affordable and environmentally friendly to the ongoing Canton Fair in Guangzhou City, south China's Guangdong Province, seeking opportunities to further expand their overseas share.

Covering an area of 90,000 square meters, the home appliance exhibition zone accommodates 1,700 home appliance enterprises from nationwide.

The area not only gathers China's leading brands such as Haier, Hisense, Gree and Midea, but also small- and medium-sized manufacturers nationwide.

A small home appliances manufacturer from eastern Chinese city of Ningbo covers an area of 126 square meters in this exhibition, bringing its hotsellers and latest products to keep up with the market demand for green and low-carbon products.

The company has upgraded hairdryer to be equipped with distance sensor enabling a lower energy consumption.

"The hair dryer is equipped with distance sensor and the shaver is touch-sensitive because we want to enhance the user experience. We have made a lot of improvements to make the products that are energy saving and environmentally friendly, and more convenient to use," said Li Lizhong, sales director of Zhejiang Yueli Electrical Appliances Company.

The 133rd session of China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair， opened on Saturday, and is scheduled to run through May 5 in three phases.

Offline exhibitors rose to more than 34,000 this year, with more than 9,000 new exhibitors, and online exhibition enterprises reached 39,281.

According to organizers, online exhibits reached 3.05 million pieces, including 800,000 new products marked by enterprises, 500,000 green and low-carbon products, and 130,000 smart products.
