Nanxun Ancient Town, an ancient water town and popular filming location for movies, is drawing tourists from around the world with its picturesque scenery.

Located in Huzhou, east China's Zhejiang province, Nanxun Ancient Town is a renowned historical and cultural site with a history of over 700 years.
Despite the passage of time, many ancient houses, gardens, and landmarks, including the Little Lotus Villa and Jiaye Library, remain well preserved. Meanwhile, lush green willows, white-walled architecture, and gracefully arched bridges overflowing rivers blend the town's rich culture with its natural beauty.
For international visitors, the breathtaking spectacle provides a lens into traditional Chinese culture.
"It was better than I was expecting. I really liked all the carvings and all of the beautiful trees and the willow trees. Yes, somebody said earlier that you really can't understand the culture until you're immersed in it. And I believe that's very true. I've heard about Chinese culture, but it wasn't until I actually got here, saw it with my own eyes and tasted all the foods by myself that I really feel like I can understand the culture better," said Joanna Fields, a tourist from the United States.
Even visitors from neighboring countries that share cultural similarities to China have found the water town has a distinctive draw.
"After reaching this ancient town, I felt that the environment is very peaceful and beautiful. Vietnam also has ancient towns, but the Nanxun Ancient Town has its own unique charm. The place is very clean, and it offers a scenery that I truly love. I will recommend this place to my friends, as it is truly worth a visit," said Nguyen Trung Ha, a tourist from Vietnam.
The visitor added that recent hit films from China, like the global blockbuster Ne Zha 2, helped inspire his recent trip to the country.
"I deeply appreciate China's rich culture, which has offered more inspiration and possibilities for Chinese movies," he said.
Nanxun Ancient Town has also become China's first ancient town in the regions south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River to earn a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
