The Canadian city of Toronto has witnessed a flurry of joy as hundreds of people took to the streets on Saturday to engage in a whimsical "pillow fight", a fun event takes place in the city annually.

The pillow fighters fought at a square close to the Toronto City Hall, gleefully wielding fluffy pillows at random target in sight.
To ensure safety and hygiene, organizers required that the pillow fighters must use only soft fabric as filling for their pillows, strictly prohibiting feathers. Participants were also told to take all their pillows with them after the fight.
"It's just a very fun event. It happens every year. You can get hit like this. But it's just a great event and you gotta watch this out and you gotta be very, very careful," said Paul, a participant.
Similar pillow fights have taken place in numerous cities worldwide, but Toronto's event stood out for its larger scale. In 2023, nearly 200 people participated in, and this year's turnout exceeded the previous year's. Organizers said the purpose for the event is to provide people with a relaxed and enjoyable weekend experience amid their busy work schedules.
