As the Chinese Lunar New Year, or the Spring Festival, draws near, ambassadors of Iceland, Türkiye, Colombia and Tunisia have sent their Lunar New Year greetings to China and its people.

The 2024 Spring Festival falls on Saturday, ushering in the Year of the Dragon, fifth in line on the Chinese zodiac.

"My name is Thorir Ibsen, and I'm the ambassador of Iceland to China. I wish the people of China a good fortune and wisdom in the coming Year of the Dragon," said Thorir Ibsen, ambassador of Iceland to China.

"Hello, everybody. I am the Turkish ambassador to the People's Republic of China. I wish to you all a very happy New Year, and I hope that this New Year will bring peace, joy, health and happiness to all of us," said ?smail Hakk? Musa, ambassador of Türkiye to China

"I am Sergio Cabrera, ambassador of Colombia to China. Here I would like to send my wish to all of you. Happy New Year! Full of vigor," said Ambassador of Colombia to China Sergio Cabrera.

Ambassador of Tunisia to China Adel Elarbi stressed the richness of the Chinese civilization and China's global influence in his greetings.

"I have visited various areas and historic sites. I was amazed by the richness of the Chinese civilization, which has left its footsteps in the global cultural history. The coming year would be the Year of the Dragon for China, I hope it's a happy, peaceful and fruitful year. Wish you full of vigor. Happy New Year!" said Adel Elarbi.
