Lazgi, a traditional Uzbek ballet, wowed the audience in Beijing with dancers' elegant moves and outpouring emotions during the performance on Monday.

The performance, presented by the Uzbekistan National Ballet, was a part of "Days of Uzbek Culture" activities in China co-hosted by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan.
A variety of cultural exchanges between the two countries have been scheduled to take place in China this year, such as concerts to be staged by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, as well as the broad celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of partnership relations between Tashkent and Shanghai.
At the opening ceremony of the "Days of Uzbek Culture", Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, said that the cultural cooperation between the two countries has risen to a new level.
"The connection between Uzbekistan and China can be traced back to a thousand years ago. As we all know, for centuries, the ancient Silk Road had played an important role in trade, economic and cultural exchanges between peoples of the two countries," said Nazarbekov in his speech.
"Today, this enduring friendship has evolved into a strategic partnership and is rapidly developing at a new stage, thanks to the political will and joint efforts of the heads of state of the two countries," he added.
The audience was amazed by Lazgi, whose names means Soul and Love.
"I am very happy to be here at the theater today to watch the performance of Lazgi by the Uzbekistan National Ballet, and I really enjoy the performances of the dancers and the design of the set," said Ayana Pak, a Russian viewer.
"I am truly astounded by this nation. It is breathtaking. The set design of the stage and the emotions the performers put into dancing -- they are all really great," said Liu Xiaoqiong, a Chinese viewer.
The performance coincided with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's state visit to China, which lasts from Tuesday to Thursday.
