On July 2, as the last hold cleaning kit was hoisted out of the cabin in the 400kt iron ore terminal of Dongjiakou Port Area, Qingdao Port, Shandong Port Group, the “Yuan Yi Hai” vessel refreshed the world’s record in iron ore offloading efficiency at a rate of 3,057 tons per hour per machine for the 26th time and smashed four records of the Group, guaranteeing high efficiency operations for international transit shipments. It marks that Qingdao Port has made strides in operating efficiency of remote automation for ship unloaders and possessed remarkable service capacity that can help accelerate the construction of the dry and bulk commodity storage and transit base.

As an important terminal for dry and bulk cargo in Qingdao Port, the 400kt iron ore terminal in Dongjiakou Port Area is equipped with four ship unloaders, the world’s most sophisticated, as well as the advanced belt conveyor system and 3 million square meters of land-side stockpiling area.
