The "Friends of Kuliang" Symposium was held in Fuzhou

[Fuzhou Evening News]Over a century, the stories of Kuliang continue to flourish. On the morning of June 28th, the "Friends of Kuliang" symposium was held at the Kuliang Wanguo Public Welfare Society in Fuzhou. Friends of Kuliang, including Mu Yanling, Li Gardner, Cheng Gaodeng, Bai Kaisi, Bi Lehua, Pu Guangzhu, and others, gathered together to reminisce about the stories of Kuliang and share profound friendship. Lin Songtian, President of the China Association of Foreign Friends, attended and delivered a speech. Lin Baojin, member of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, attended and delivered a welcome speech. At the meeting, Lin Baojin presented Mu Yanling and Cheng Gaodeng with the certificate of "Honorary Citizen" of Fuzhou, and presented gifts to Mu Airen, Gardner, Cheng Lydia, Lanmaria, Ke Zhiren, Pu Tianshou and other representatives of six families. 

Lin Songtian, Lin Baojin and others also accompanied the "Friends of Kuliang" to dig sweet springs from public water wells at home and abroad, and sent postcards across the ocean from Kuliang Post Office to explore the family's life imprint in Fuzhou and jointly plant the tree of friendship.  (Zhao Xinyue)
