China lays out standard for smart scenic areas to enhance visitor experiences 发布日期:2026/7/2 来源:International Daily 打印

China has introduced a standard for smart operations in the country's scenic areas, officially setting out requirements for smart scenic areas to bolster visitor safety and enhance experiences, according to the country's standardization administration on Saturday.

Designed to strengthen smart scenic areas' capabilities to issue timely and accurate risk alerts, the standard also focuses on safeguarding visitors' identities and ensuring the security of tourism data collected and transmitted.
The standard is made up of six parts, namely infrastructure, data management, smart management, smart services, smart marketing, and smart experience, comprehensively covering the entire process of smart construction, operation, management, and services for scenic areas.
The standard is the first to clearly define smart scenic area operations -- a model that comprehensively leverages next-generation information technologies to enable intelligent sensing, dynamic analysis, intelligent decision-making, and real-time optimization of operation and management activities.
The standard requires smart scenic areas to establish a real-time visitor flow monitoring system to track foot traffic congestion and deliver timely warnings and guidance. It also requires the construction of an integrated emergency command center to uniformly direct and dispatch rescue forces, as well as an emergency communication network that includes satellite and wireless links to ensure uninterrupted communication during emergencies.
