“Marine Oil 283”, China’s first mobile offshore multifunctional operating platform, built by Hisea Heavy-Duty Machinery, Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant Co., Ltd., CSSC, was recently delivered in the Haixi Bay of Qingdao. The delivery marks an significant breakthrough China has secured in high-efficiency offshore oil field exploitation equipment, thus providing critical equipment to ensure higher yields in oil field production.
The “Marine Oil 283” platform, built for China National Offshore Oil Corporation, is China’s “mobile operation center” that aims to increase the output in high-efficiency oil field exploitation, and integrates multiple functions such as acidification, fracturing, profile control, profile modification, and thermal recovery for thickened oil. With a molded length of 62.4 meters, a molded width of 43.2 meters and a molded depth of 5.8 meters, the four-legged jack-up platform weighs a total of more than 7,300 tons and features a maximum operating depth of 40 meters.
