A special exhibition featuring masterpieces from China's Palace Museum opened on Tuesday in Vienna to commemorate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Austria.
Jointly curated by the Palace Museum and the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the exhibition Art and Aesthetics from China’s Forbidden City brings together 76 masterpieces in an integrated display concept, exploring the aesthetics of Chinese court life in the 18th century.
Most of the objects are being shown in Europe for the first time.
The Austrian side said this exhibition is a culturally significant event, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience the convergence and resonance of civilizations.
