Mohe, China's northernmost city in Heilongjiang Province, started this year's ski season on Saturday after a snowfall.
The city's Arctic Ski Resort is one of the country's northernmost of its kind, boasting the highest latitude and the longest snow season.
It can provide tourists with a half-year-long ski season that runs from early November to the end of April.
The very first day of its ski season already tempted many tourists and skiing lovers to enjoy the fun of winter sports.
"I love skiing, and when I heard that this place opens early in the season, I came here specifically to experience it. The slopes here are wide and beautiful, offering a very different experience from skiing in the city. The scenery is stunning, and when the forest is covered in snow, it becomes incredibly picturesque," said Geng Yuechao, a tourist from east China's Shandong Province.
This year, the resort has opened a new lane, with renovation on its tourist center and ski gear hall. Another 500 sets of new ski gears were also purchased, so as to meet the rising demand of skiers.
It offers a range of entertainment choices for tourists in the snow as well, such as tug-of-war, football and snowmobile riding.
