The three-day 2025 Fujian Asia-Pacific Music Festival concluded on the shores of Meizhou Bay on Monday.
The event gathered outstanding musicians and bands from across China as well as those from Indonesia, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and other countries and regions.
It showcased a fusion of music, cultural tourism, intangible cultural heritage, and the creative industries, injecting vibrant cultural energy into the Golden Week National Day holiday.
As the first international music festival themed around maritime culture, it creatively combined international trends, electronic music, intangible cultural heritage, and creative arts. During the three days, it attracted more than 80,000 music enthusiasts and tourists from across the country.
The festival featured a diverse array of performances, including exotic acts from Indonesia, folk-style metal bands, and local singers incorporating regional characteristics.
Performers fused traditional operatic singing with modern music, leaving the audience in awe while receiving thunderous applause.
"I find the audience very passionate, just like the weather - warm and enthusiastic. Since this is my first time participating in the festival, I feel very welcomed," said a singer named Tan Jing.
In addition to music festivals, visitors also had the chance to enjoy a fireworks show, cultural fair and camping to take a deep dive into Fujian's diverse cultural charm.
