Qingdao has recently rolled out 12 innovative steps to bolster high-quality development of the debut economy. A combination of steps such as launching new commercial activities, new business models and new services will be taken to expand, improve and enlarge the debut economy.

With a focus on giving full play to such featured consumption as time-honored brands, the newly-introduced 12 measures not only aim to help local time-honored brands to seek innovative operation, but also call for efforts to invite China time-honored brands and provincial-level time-honored brands to open themed restaurants and intangible cultural heritage experience shops among other first shops in Qingdao to diversify the supply of consumption. In an effort to enhance consumption timeliness and novelty, Qingdao will prioritize promoting debut events related to cultural tourism, performance and sports economy, and provide great support to debut activities of all kinds. These measures call for putting in place a scheme to facilitate inspection for imported consumer goods used for debut activities to meet international brands and companies’ demand for “immediate customs clearance” and “non-destructive inspection”, so as to appeal to an increasing number of Chinese and foreign brands to launch various debut activities in Qingdao.
