According to the newly-unveiled 2023 Full-category Wedding Consumption Trend Insight Report, Qingdao is one of the most popular photo-shooting tourism destination cities and shooting locations and can rival Sanya, Dali and Xiamen. One-stop love and marriage services, a “sweet industry”, is booming as Qingdao seizes opportunities to cultivate itself into a love and wedding tourism IP.

Love and marriage services provided by Qingdao span more than 40 sectors, including photography and video taking, cosmetology and hairdressing, hotel and homestay, wedding dresses, jewellery, travel agencies and yachts. According to incomplete statistics, Qingdao’s wedding industry including wedding banquets, celebrations, photo-shooting and dresses generate an annual output value of as much as RMB 5 bln. 150,000 to 200,000 new couples choose to take wedding photos in Qingdao every year, and 70% of clients served by Qingdao-based wedding shooting companies are from other places.  (Jia Zhen)
