Qingdao plans to build 7 clusters of wharfs along the coast 发布日期:2024/1/31 来源:International Daily 打印

The Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning recently issued the Qingdao Special Planning on Wharfs for Cruise Ships, Yachts and Sailboats, which counts up the number of wharfs of all kinds including fishery wharfs, tourist wharfs and traffic wharfs, and makes comprehensive planning and arrangements for Qingdao’s coastal wharfs. An overall spatial pattern will be established along the coast, consisting of 7 clusters of wharfs, 4 wharfs for cruise ships, 53 wharfs for cruise ships and sailboats, and 12 sailing sites.

The 7 clusters of wharfs are the Aoshan Bay cluster of wharfs, the cluster of wharfs in Laoshan Mountain Scenic Spot, the East Coast Qianhai cluster of wharfs, the cluster of wharfs around Jiaozhou Bay, the Tangdao Bay-Xuejiadao cluster of wharfs, the Lingshan Bay cluster of wharfs and the Long Bay cluster of wharfs, which unfold one by one along the coast and interact with each other.

Developing wharfs for cruise ships is an important means taken by Qingdao to build a world-class cruise tourism destination and international level tourism scenarios. According to the Planning, Qingdao will retain Dagang and Olympic Sailing Center cruise terminals and reserve areas for cruise ship terminals in Shibei Merry Coastal City and West Coast New Area.

Qingdao will draw on worldwide typical cases to come up with planning for wharf location, berth depth, wharf scale and supporting facilities and gain insights into detailed wharf planning formulation and designing.
