Over the past month, Chinese tourists heading for Malaysia have relished a distinctive travel experience, exploring historical and cultural destinations significant to both countries, all thanks to Malaysia's visa-free policy for Chinese visitors.
Malaysia, a tropical island endowed with tranquil forests, rare animals, modern metropolises, and themed parks, offers a harmonious blend for travelers. The spotlight of this experience includes delicious cuisine.
The state of Malacca, hailed as the cradle of Malaysian culture, played a pivotal role during Zheng He's Voyages to the West 600 years ago. Zheng He brought advanced Chinese culture to Malacca, where it took root and flourished.
Today, Malacca stands as a fine hub, embracing multi-culture and hosting numerous global historical and cultural heritages.
The region boasts a rich cultural heritage, featuring attractions such as the Melaka Sultanate Palace, showcasing local culture, the Stadthys (oldest building in Southwest Asia), Portuguese castles and batteries, and the Jonker Walk, prospering with the trade stations built by Zheng He.
"China and Malaysia share a time-honored history and cultural similarities. Visiting the State of Malacca feels like tracing our origins," said Lei Fugen, a tourist who has visited multiple time.
