An array of vibrant cultural events involving ancient-style performances have been captivating scores of excited tourists across China during the eight-day National Day holiday.
At an ancient cultural street in Ji'an City of east China's Jiangxi Province, tourists have been wowed by the iridescent lanterns and beautiful performances.
"I watched the ancient-style performances and solved lantern riddles. This place has a charming ancient atmosphere and I had a lot of fun," said one of the tourists named Xie Zhiyou.
Another tourist attraction in the city was lit up by firework shows, offering tourists a fascinating visual feast.
In Zhangjiakou City of north China's Hebei Province, a large-scale performance was staged to celebrate the National Day. The passionate songs and colorful dances embodied local people's love for their country and festive wishes of a better life.
Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality has launched over 1,000 cultural events, including concerts, photo and art exhibitions and anime conventions, to bring diversified cultural experiences to tourists.
In Jungar Banner of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a fun sports meeting combining sports, leisure, culture and tourism was staged, gathering 694 farmer athletes to pit their strength against each other and experience the joy of harvest at the same time.
