To make Fujian province take pride in the private economy

“Let’s work hard to make Fujian’s private economy have the same pride as its lucid waters and lush mountains.” The fourth plenary session of the 11th Fujian provincial Party Committee has mapped out the strategy of building Fujian’s strength in the private economy and raised high expectations.

In the fifth plenary session of the 12th Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, under the guidance of the essence of the provincial conference, new measures of promoting the high-quality development of Fuzhou’s private economy were studied, and the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government’s implementation plan for advancing the strategy of building strengths in the private economy and high-quality development was deliberated and adopted.

According to data for 2022, Fuzhou, home to seven enterprises among the “top 500 Chinese private enterprises” and 31 enterprises that made the “top 100 Fujian province’s private enterprises”, was Fujian’s powerhouse of the private economy, with a total operating revenue of RMB741.05bln. With the ambition of gaining more strengths, Fuzhou’s private enterprises, which have navigated challenges to seek better quality and efficiency, pursue transformation and upgrading and foster new advantages by innovative means over the recent years, contribute increasingly to transforming growth modes, making structural adjustments and maintaining stable growth, and facilitate greatly the international and modernization city construction.
