MEXICO CITY, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Teenage midfielder Gilberto Mora will miss Mexico's friendly against Chile due to injury, the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) said on Monday.

Mora suffered an ankle injury in Mexico's 1-1 draw with Colombia on Sept. 26 and subsequently missed Mexico's friendlies against Peru and the United States.

The FMF did not provide details of the injury but confirmed in a social media post that the 17-year-old would return to his club Tijuana earlier than planned.

It added that suspended left-back Mateo Chavez would return to Dutch club AZ Alkmaar.

Mexico and Chile will meet in Los Angeles on Tuesday in their final match of the European transfer window.
