GENEVA, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The International Testing Agency (ITA) announced Tuesday that Jacques Antenen has been appointed as the new Chair of the ITA Foundation Board, succeeding inaugural Chair Dr. Valerie Fourneyron.
ITA also announced International Equestrian Federation (FEI) President Ingmar de Vos of Belgium and President of Shanghai Institute of Physical Education Mao Lijuan of China as new members of the Board at its second biannual meeting, held in Busan, South Korea, on the occasion of the World Conference on Doping in Sport.
Fourneyron has led the Board since the organization's creation in 2018, and her mandate concludes at the end of 2025, along with those of former Association of Summer Olympic International Federation (ASOIF) President Francesco Ricci Bitti of Italy and Shanghai University of Sport President Chen Peijie of China.
Swiss Antenen, who was the Head of the investigating magistrates of the Canton of Vaud in Switzerland and Commander of the Vaud Cantonal Police, will take the new role on January 1, 2026.
"Widely recognized for his independence, transparency and principled leadership, he brings substantial experience in institutional integrity - qualities that will support the ITA as it continues to strengthen its role as the leading international independent organization active in the delivery of clean sport programs for international sport," ITA said in a statement.
De Vos, also ASOIF's new president, was appointed as the representative of the international sports federations, while Mao joins the Board as an independent member.
