BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Mateo Ramirez scored a late own goal as Velez Sarsfield earned a 2-2 away draw with Deportivo Riestra in Argentina's Primera Division on Monday.
Lisandro Magallan cancelled out Alexander Diaz's early goal for the hosts before Jonathan Herrera restored Deportivo Riestra's lead with a 55th-minute strike.
Velez was reduced to 10 men in the 65th minute when Matias Pellegrini was shown a second yellow card for a bad foul.
But Ramirez gifted the visitors an equalizer by inadvertently turning the ball into his own net following a corner three minutes from time.
The result leaves Velez second in the Group B standings with 22 points, one behind leaders Deportivo Riestra.
In Monday's only other Primera Division fixture, Racing was held to a goalless home draw by Independiente Rivadavia.
