ISLAMABAD, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Australia's national volleyball team will visit Pakistan for the first time to play a three-match series later this month, an official said on Tuesday.

Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob, chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF), told Xinhua that the Australian Volleyball Federation (AVF) had confirmed the team's arrival in Islamabad on May 26.

"All arrangements have been finalized for the three-match series to be played at the Liaquat Gymnasium, an indoor sporting arena located in Islamabad," said Yaqoob, adding that the matches will commence on May 28.

Yaqoob added that the series would be a historic milestone for volleyball in Pakistan, with fans eagerly looking forward to witnessing top-class competition between the two nations.
