BUENOS AIRES, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Edinson Cavani continued his rich vein of form with a second-half strike as hosts Boca Juniors recovered from a goal down to beat Racing Club 4-2 in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
Lucas Blondel gave Boca the early advantage by pouncing on a headed clearance and lashing an unstoppable 30-yard drive into the top-right corner.
Colombian midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero equalized just after the half hour, sweeping home from 12 yards following a Maximiliano Salas cross from the left flank.
Quintero then turned provider with a perfectly weighted through ball for Adrian Martinez, whose cool finish gave the visitors the lead just after halftime.
But the hosts were back on level terms two minutes later when Nazareno Colombo turned the ball into his own net while trying to clear Lautaro Blanco's cross.
Boca suddenly had the momentum and they went ahead through Cavani, who latched onto another Blanco cross with a towering header from the edge of the six-yard box.
Thirty-seven year-old Cavani has now scored four goals in two games as he looks increasingly comfortable in Argentina's top flight.
Nicolas Valentini completed the rout nine minutes from time by heading home at the far post following Kevin Zenon's cross.
The result at La Bombonera leaves Boca fifth in Group B with 16 points from 10 outings, four points behind leaders Godoy Cruz. Racing are eighth, two points further back.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Sunday, Godoy Cruz were held to a 1-1 home draw by Newell's Old Boys, Huracan drew 1-1 at home to Argentinos Juniors, Defensa y Justicia prevailed 2-1 at home to Union Santa Fe and Talleres Cordoba cruised to a 4-1 home win over Atletico Tucuman.
