Newborn panda cubs interact with keepers in delight 2024/11/22 source: International Daily Print

Giant panda cubs freshly born this year were caught joyfully interacting with their keepers at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

In the footage captured at the Moonlight Delivery House for Giant Pandas, three cubs sit closely together in the doorway, watching a keeper cleaning their house.
In another scene at the Star Giant Panda Nursery House, a cub followed a keeper to its enrichment toys but decided not to play with them; instead, it chose to cuddle the keeper's arm affectionately.
The base experienced a "panda baby boom" between July and September this year, so most of this year's newborn cubs are only a few months old.
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a world-renowned institution for the conservation of giant pandas. The base is famous for its efforts in protecting and breeding giant pandas, red pandas, and other endangered wildlife exclusive to China, as well as for its educational outreach programs. It is now a major tourist attraction.
