The Huangguoshu Waterfall in southwest China's Guizhou Province has fascinated tourists with its spectacular daytime and nighttime views during the peak viewing season.

Standing at 77.8 meters tall and 101 meters wide, the Huangguoshu Waterfall is one of the largest waterfalls in Asia. The waterfall has witnessed the high water flow this year during summer flood season.

In the daytime, the cascading and powerful waterfall offers tourists magnificent views and pleasant climate for a summer getaway.

"The views are amazing and the weather here is more humid than that in my hometown, which make me feel more comfortable," said a tourist.

Multiple temporary parking lots with 2,300 spaces were activated as the number of tourists continues to grow. More than 100 buses were added to transfer visitors.

In the nighttime, the panoramic light show combining lighting, sound and visual effects would be staged at the waterfall, providing tourists with an immersive visual feast and magic sensation that is different from the daytime experience.

"The waterfall is spectacular and beautiful, and the nighttime views are wonderful. I have never seen such brilliant light shows in my life. It's really fascinating," said a tourist.

The number of visitors to the waterfall keeps rising since the light show was unveiled in June 2021. The scenic spot has reaped tourist revenues of 1.6 billion yuan (around 223.25 million U.S. dollars) since July 1.
