The Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week opened in Shenzhen City of south China's Guangdong Province on Friday, serving as a key platform to strengthen cooperation between the Chinese and Italian fashion industries.
The highlight of the three-day event are joint runway shows, bringing fashion elements from both cities to the stage. At the Friday evening opening ceremony, Chinese and Italian brands showcased outfits and performances that incorporated Chinese intangible cultural heritage, including Cantonese opera and Dong folk songs.
Several major fashion industry cooperation projects were signed during the ceremony, and China and Italy launched a joint initiative to deepen collaboration between Shenzhen and Milan in fashion design, cultural creativity, and technological innovation.
Under the theme "Digital Fashion, Eastern Expression," the Week also features a technology and culture exhibition, industry forums, factory tours, and various citywide activities.
