The 28th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) concluded on Sunday.

This year's SIFF presented more than 420 films from 77 countries and regions across more than 1,600 screenings.

The festival attracted over 450,000 viewers and generated nearly 38 million yuan (about 5.61 million U.S. dollars) in box office revenue.

The program also included the Golden Goblet Awards ceremony and the 2026 China Movie and TV Night.

The festival brought a vibrant cultural buzz to Shanghai, offering movie lovers not only the chance to watch films but also to discover film-themed merchandise and explore open-air markets celebrating cinematic art.
