The Temple of Heaven Museum was officially inaugurated on Saturday in Beijing, marking the completion of dedicated museums for all eight of the city's World Heritage Sites.
Beijing is home to eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the Great Wall, the Ming Tombs, the Grand Canal, the Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site, and the Beijing Central Axis.
At the Temple of Heaven, its newly renovated Divine Music Administration and other exhibitions areas like the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and Divine Kitchen form the entire museum, where ritual musical instruments and connotations of traditional ritual system will be presented.
In addition, Beijing's cultural heritage monitoring and early warning system platform was launched as well.
Using digital technology, the system covers all the city's World Heritage Sites. Through this closed-loop management, it provides digital protection for the sites.
