China showcased more than 100 high-quality film and television productions at the Tokyo and Cannes international markets this October, strengthening global media ties and promoting cross-border collaboration in the audio-visual industry.

The China Film Pavilion, organized under the guidance of the State Council's Information Office and the National Radio and Television Administration, made its debut on Wednesday at the 2025 Tokyo International Film Fair's Content Market (TIFFCOM) in Japan.
Over a dozen prominent Chinese media organizations showcased over 100 audio-visual masterpieces including TV dramas, micro-dramas, online films, documentaries and variety shows, covering various themes including history, culture and contemporary society while emphasizing China's rich content diversity and high production standards, further elevating the country's influence in international media.
"We hope that more opportunities and projects will arise for Chinese content and production teams to engage with outstanding international peers for collaboration and exchange," said Fu Binxing, president of the Huace Group, China's first listed company that specializes in producing TV series.
Meanwhile, the event also featured China's first 8K space documentary film, "Blue Planet Outside the Window" (also known as "Shenzhou-13"), produced by China Media Group. The film, shot with advanced 8K technology and featuring real space footage, received widespread attention at Tokyo.
The 90-minute film provides a look at daily life and experiments in orbit through the eyes of Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping, and Ye Guangfu -- crew members of the Shenzhou-13 mission.
The Chinese pavilion also appeared during the MIPCOM Cannes 2025 in France earlier this month.
The pavilion, participating in the event for the 22nd time, held a series of activities under the theme of "Amazing China, Endless Stories," showcasing nearly 100 works to the world.
During the event, a new promotional activity was held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes to introduce 11 outstanding Chinese works to international audiences, including the "Blue Planet Outside the Window."
