The Inter-Civilizational Dialogue among SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Countries 2025 opened in north China's Tianjin Municipality on Wednesday, attracting more than 300 representatives from governments, think tanks and cultural institutions.
The event aims to enhance mutual understanding and promote a closer SCO community with a shared future. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as sustainable development and cultural heritage protection.
At the event, organizers released a report on building a digital community with a shared future for humanity, as well as an initiative on upholding the diversity of civilizations.
The SCO Tianjin Summit will be held from Aug 31 to Sept 1.
With leaders of over 20 countries and heads of 10 international organizations attending the summit and related events, the upcoming summit is set to be the largest in the history of the SCO.
