SCO countries strengthen audiovisual cooperation at trade fair 2025/7/26 source: Print

Audiovisual companies from China and other Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries on Wednesday exchanged a wide range of content at a trade fair in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Province, as part of the second SCO Television Festival that opened on the same day.

The event brought together leading broadcasters and production houses from China, Russia, India, Türkiye, Iran, and other countries to share technological innovations, showcase creative content, and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

Renowned media organizations, such as Russia's VGTRK and Iran's Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), presented a diverse lineup of products, from scripted dramas and documentaries to entertainment and children's programs.

Chinese firms drew attention with innovative content and technological breakthroughs, highlighting the growing vitality of the country's audiovisual sector.

"It has been truly an honor to meet other experts in the field. I also made a lot of connections with prestigious media outlets in China that offer very great content for its viewers," said Ahmed Sarbaz, a media representative from Iraq.

Themed "Joining Civilizations: Audio Video Creations for a Shared Future," the second SCO Television Festival gathered nearly 300 delegates from 19 countries in attendance.
