California launches new campaign to help consumers identify California-made products 发布日期:2026/9/7 来源:International Daily 打印

SACRAMENTO — Governor Gavin Newsom recently launched “Made in California”, a new statewide labeling and marketing program to empower California manufacturers to capitalize on the state’s global reputation for quality. Whether the company makes surfboards or salsa, beer or biotech products, as long as it is substantially made in the Golden State, manufacturers big and small have the opportunity to add the valuable “Made in California” label to their products. And for consumers, the label makes it simple: look for the logo and know you’re buying a product made by California workers, right here in California, to California standards.

California is home to more small businesses than anywhere else in the nation. Now, small and mid-sized manufacturers stand to gain the most. Small manufacturers alone account for roughly 89 percent of the state’s manufacturing firms. Already the engines of local jobs, regional supply chains, and community pride, these businesses often lack the marketing infrastructure of larger companies. “Made in California” closes that gap and helps participating businesses reach new customers, pursue contracts, attract capital, enter export markets and compete for shelf space by turning the state’s reputation for quality, innovation and sustainability into a true market advantage.
