China's Ministry of Commerce said the country's consumer market maintained a steady run during the just-concluded three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, which started on Friday.

Supplies of daily necessities across the country during the holiday were ample and prices of goods remained stable on general, according to the ministry.

Data released by the ministry showed goods stocks at 200 major agricultural and sideline product wholesale markets across the country were sufficient.

Prices of grain, oil, meat and fruits were largely unchanged from pre-holiday levels, while egg and vegetable prices dipped by 0.7 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, the ministry said.

Consumer goods trade-in programs have also been driving sales growth of related products, according to the ministry.

As of Saturday, the programs have served 136 million transactions and have driven a sales value of over 1 trillion yuan (about 150 billion U.S. dollars), the ministry's data showed.

Specifically, about 3.4 million automobiles were sold under the programs, generating a sales value of over 555 billion yuan, according to the ministry.

Additionally, sales of home appliances, digital products and smart devices included in the programs hit about 133 million units, with sales value reaching over 451 billion yuan, according to the ministry.
