QINGDAO -- Children in Qingdao City, east China's Shandong Province, have explored the cutting-edge technology at the Qingdao Port Fully Automated Container Terminal, witnessing the remarkable technological leap from traditional manual labor to intelligent port operations.
At a themed research and study base in Qingdao Port, children learned about the port's fully automated operations through interactive sessions, including VR bridge crane simulators and the "Flying Over the Seaport" 4D cinema. On the observation platform, they witnessed the entire unmanned operation process on site and directly experienced the terminal's high-end, intelligent features.
The visit left a deep impression on the young participants, sparking their curiosity and tech dreams.
The port has transformed its automated terminal into an immersive "three-dimensional teaching aid" and "real-world classroom", making the research and study activities both educational and entertaining for children who can see, understand and experience everything firsthand.
