A winter snowfall in Luanchuan County, central China's Henan Province, has transformed the Luanchuan Bamboo Sea Wildlife Zoo into a wonderland of joy, thanks to two giant pandas reveling in the snow.
As strong cold air brought fresh snow to the region, resident pandas Ling Yan and Mai Mai became the stars of the day, captivating visitors with their playful antics in the white-covered landscape.
Far from their usual laid-back demeanor, Ling Yan and Mai Mai transformed into lively "snow elves." They slid down a specially designated slide, sending powdery snow flying. They chased and tumbled together across the ground, leaving behind distinctive paw prints scattered like plum blossoms.
At one point, they even staged a playful "snowball fight," patting the snow with their furry paws to the delight of laughing onlookers.
According to forestry experts, moderate outdoor activity in the snow helps giant pandas strengthen muscles and improve overall physical health.
Zoo staff also continuously monitor the giant pandas' wellbeing during the winter weather to ensure safe.
